Will the Gulf contries monopoly on Oil will soon end!?

This is very interesting and looks like in the near future, we will be having many alternative fuels! And if this really becomes true and it we are able to produce these alternative fuels at lower cost and also produce them in bulk, then the oil monopoly of GULF will come down!
